Covid-19

Update 4/4/21

When we made the decision to cancel in-person worship services in March, virtually none of us expected our sanctuary doors to still be closed at the end of 2020 and beginning of 2021. By suspending Sunday morning in-person gatherings we were able to keep our attenders safe while creating a strategy to safely reconvene in-person worship services.

In 1 Timothy 5, Paul describes the church as people dedicated to doing whatever it takes to reach out and help others. Thechurch consists of God’s people. It is the assembly of believers in Jesus Christ. The physical buildings facilitate the fellowship, worship, and ministry of God’s people, but it is not the church.  Although there is great benefit to gathering in a building on Sunday morning, that is not the mission of the church.

While keeping health and safety a priority, we have decided to open in-person Sunday worship service starting May 2nd of this year. We will adhere to CDC guidelines and recommendations as we keep everyone safe as we worship together.

From feedback we have received we recognize that some of our attenders may prefer to stay home and continue to participate in our online experience. We want you to know this is perfectly okay, as we will continue to bring you an excellent online experience.

Here are a few things you need to know about our in-person worship services beginning May 2nd.

  • We will continue to have one service at 10:00am and will encourage attenders to arrive at 9:45am
  • We are asking that you let us know that you are coming so we can adequately prepare the facility for your return. Please visit our website for further direction on how to do so.
  • Mask will be required, and we will adhere to social distancing guidance
  • We ask that if you are experiencing symptoms and signs of COVID-19 that you participate in our online experience.

Lastly, we ask for your prayers. We understand that this decision will be met with different views and opinions, but we believe that those who truly care will first pray as we continue to navigate this new territory.

If you have additional questions, we encourage you to do the following. Email us at info@ecimks.org. One of our leaders will be happy to assist you.
