KIDS MINISTRY

Every Sunday, your children, K – 5th grade, come to a “Real Life Kids” service where they experience dynamic worship and Biblical teaching.

We have amazing programs from babies to preschool to elementary-aged kids.

At Evangelistic Center, we love kids! We design creative, fun, and interactive programs for every age and stage with music, games, and storytelling. Kids learn about God’s love in a dynamic way each week because we know it matters. We want kids to make friends, have fun, and learn about Jesus in real and relevant ways.

Frequently Asked Questions

We know you have a lot of questions when deciding to visit a new church. We have compiled a list of our most frequently asked questions, but if you have any other questions, please give us a call.
What will my child learn in kids on the rock?

Our nursery and preschool areas provide an early opportunity for your kids to experience the love of God through worship, Bible stories, christian living concepts, and group activities. Elementary age students can expect live worship experiences, creative Bible teaching, skits, fun object lessons, and games. We focus on Salvation through Jesus Christ and basic Biblical truths.

How do I register my kids?

For kids from babies to elementary age, just come to the Kids Check-In area when you arrive on a Sunday. Someone will be there to help and to walk you to your child’s class.

What if you need to get in touch with me during the service?

First time guests with children will register at one of our check-in stations.  Once each child is registered the parents will be given a parent tag with a security code. We will put the security code on the screens in the main sanctuary if there are any concerns.

Will my child make friends?

Absolutely! Our room environments and lessons are designed to help your child grow with kids in the same age group. We’re passionate about supporting them in each stage of life, so we provide Kids on the Rock options from 4 mo. -6th grade during our Sunday and Wednesday experiences.

When you commit to attending the same service each week, your child will be surrounded by a small group full of familiar faces. As kids build relationships with leaders and other children, they gain the support and confidence to grow in their faith.

What about safety?

We take security and safety seriously at Evangelistic Center. Every kids team member is background checked and trained to provide a safe and nurturing environment so that you can attend adult services with confidence your children are safe and receiving excellent care.

Leadership

Michelle Manning

Director of Children’s Ministry

My name is Michelle Manning and I am an active member in my community and serve as the Executive Director of EC Kids ministry. As a mother of 6 and a devoted wife, I have dedicated my life to education and teaching because I enjoy serving others. My educational journey has led me to obtain a Bachelors of Science in Education, a Double Masters in

Curriculum and Instruction and Administration in Educational Leadership. I hold both a license in ESL and as a Literacy Specialist. I started my teaching career as an Elementary School Teacher, then transitioned as an Intervention Teacher for K-5 students. I then served as an Instructional coach and is currently serving as an Elementary Vice Principal in the KCK Public Schools.

Since 2008, I have worked in various roles as a Children’s Ministry staff member at Evangelistic Center. All of my children attended children’s ministry here and we have been very blessed by EC Kids ministry. One of my greatest roles as a director, has been to encourage and build up families that we serve. I love to teach children that learning about God is fun and how He can use challenging times that they may go through, to build their faith over the years to come. It is a joy to be able to lead children as they play, learn, and explore. Every child is a gift and is uniquely amazing in the way God intended them to be.
